The Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers is a "Grande Ecole of Engineering". It has trained more than 85,000 engineers since it was founded in 1780 by the Duc de La Rochefoucauld Liancourt. It is a Public Scientific, Cultural and Professional Institution (EPCSCP) under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. ENSAM has a Materials Engineering Laboratory where it monitors the rotational moulding technology and process.
